No-contact delivery
It is always interesting to witness the emergence of something new. To observe the reason and the way the process has taken, resulting in an unexpected decision that immediately became our daily routine.
Unlike the situation when this way takes a long time, "non-contact delivery" has become a service matured in just a couple of weeks. Despite the stigma of situational marketing, the service is one of the most popular today.
Years of putting off certain things like the possibility of IKEA delivery, it is amazing to catch yourself on the fact that little was needed for a change. A simple chance significant enough to justify them is enough.
Nothing more, except for a radiant smile when couriers take the obligatory photo of the client with the delivered package from a respectful distance. And QUARANTEAM is very good at such things :-)

I have previously seen a number of references to the stage play "Medium. Selected", but haven't got a chance to see it till now.
Today, when the whole world has actually shrunk to the size of a laptop screen, it became possible to see many things without leaving home, often simultaneously.
It is not entirely clear why the DOC production is being shown on behalf of Solyanka, but nevertheless, I send my regards to them for this opportunity.
For some years now, Aleksey Yudnikov, the author and performer of the play, narrates the films he has selected, replacing the media familiar to the viewer. During a narration, a familiar plot is surrounded by many comments and nuances of the narrator, which, at first, raises many questions about their relevance.
However, pretty soon, thoughts anxiously rushing about in search of an “added value” happily fall into the enveloping arms of Walter Benjamin's text "The Storyteller" about the culture of storytelling.
Speaking about the loss of the narrator’s skill in modern culture, the philosopher mentions a number of reasons including the “loneliness of the individual” who spends time reading a novel; the trauma of global cataclysms unfolding in the 20th century, as well as the dominance of the media, imposing an agenda and weaning from the process of contemplation, which cannot be taken away from listening to stories.
Incredible nowness of the list seems pretty unbelievable, while the mentioned reasons seemed like distant echoes of the past until recently.
Universal self-isolation that deprives live communication; the impossibility of accepting events taking place outside the window; and the moralistic manner of presenting information by the media deprive us of human attitude towards each other, force us to see the enemy in our neighbor.
Taking these things into account, the “Medium” seems to be a breath of fresh air and, moreover, a peculiar act of resistance against the dictatorship of taste, opinion, and communication formats.
As the narrator, Alexey tells us the story from the perspective of an “observer” and even a “guardian of tradition,” revealing the peculiarities of time and humanized cultural context in his comments and regular appeals to the viewer.
